| Description of Network: | KAVA is a professional membership organization of individuals working in the field of volunteer management, as either paid or unpaid staff. Our mission is to shape the future of volunteerism by strengthening and promoting the profession of volunteer management. Members share a vision of effective involvement of volunteers and a commitment to the development of professional skills. Membership meetings feature a speaker or roundtable discussion. KAVA operates through a volunteer Board of Directors and with a committee structure. Therefore, active participation by members with one or more committees is essential to KAVA. This active participation presents an opportunity for members to hone their skills or gain valuable new skills.
