A WORKPLACE THE WORLD HAS BEEN LOOKING FOR – Fish…Catch the Energy, Release the Potential

Janet Novak, Special Olympics, Maryland; Margaret O’Neill, Maryland Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism, Maryland

Session Description: This session is designed to help professionals in volunteer administration have fun at work as a way to increase recruitment and retention of volunteers, boost the energy and morale level of their organization and stoke the passions that brought us to this profession in the first place.

Learning Objectives:
1. Accountability - each of us chooses, moment to moment, what kind of day we will have and what kind of organization we can be
2. Integrity and Trust - each of us strive to live a life centered on the values of respect, excellence, joy, contribution and teamwork.  As professionals, we endeavor to "do the right thing" and create integrity while developing a deep trust of one another.
