CREATING A VOLUNTEER TRAINING

Session Description: Training is a key factor in motivation and retention of volunteers.  This session will give you necessary information you will need when planning a training.  You will be introduced to the characteristics of adult volunteers and adult learners and how to develop a training using adult education techniques.

Learning Objectives:
1. Identify key characteristics of adult volunteers and adult learners
2. Explain how these key characteristics translate into a training format
3. Understand how to develop a training agenda
