INSIGHT INTO LATIN AMERICAN INDIOSYNCRASY – Building Bridges to Connect Cultures

Session Description: To different extents, motivational theories refer to the regional idiosyncrasy, deeply rooted in its history, cultural, economic, social and geopolitical factors, its customs and traditions.  To get to the world without borders, we must take that first step of accepting differences, and to do so, we must understand.

Learning Objectives:
1. Share essential characteristics of Latin American idiosyncrasy for those organizations willing to start working in the region and for those willing to accept volunteers from the region
2. Explain the main differences and similarities of civil society throughout the region
3. Show the main difficulties and obstacles, programs for civil society strengthening face
4. Give a first insight into volunteer involvement in fundraising efforts
