TAKE A DEEP BREATH – Now Let It Out

Session Description: Busy volunteer administrators are so committed to caring for others that we frequently forget to take care of ourselves.  This highly interactive workshop explores signs of stress/burnout and stress management options.  Participants practice relaxation techniques using meditation, breathing, music, massage and imagery, and learn how to use them effectively.

Learning Objectives:
1. Recognize and validate the demands of working in a high-stress environment
2. Understand the importance of stress reduction in maintaining a balanced life
3. Learn practical relaxation skills for self-care that can be shared with volunteers, staff and colleagues
4. Develop an action plan for using these tools and techniques
