Article Abstract The dynamic blend of balancing work and family duties has been studied by hundreds of researchers the past four decades. This research adds to the existing work and family research by providing a snapshot of situations volunteers encounter as well as the strategies they use to balance the demands of volunteering. The study goes further in explaining how situations encountered and strategies implemented relate to volunteer satisfaction. From the findings garnered from this research, volunteer administrators will have valuable information to work with volunteers as they struggle to balance multiple roles.
