Gothic Victorian mansion. Visit "Millionaires’ Row"– mansions from gold
rush days – and see where saloons and bordellos once stood. Hear about
famous residents of these gorgeous homes as well as their ghosts. The
tour ends with a drive through historic lower downtown Denver (LODO).

- Visit old gold mining towns reinvigorated with
casino gambling. Black Hawk and Central City, once called "The Richest
Square Mile on Earth," are now a National Historic District. This area
is dotted with old gold mines and hundreds of Victorian buildings. The
gambling package at Bullwhackers in Black Hawk is included: $5.00 per
person – no buy in; $2.00 off of a meal; 2 free drinks; and $1 in match
play. Have dinner at Bullwhackers or at establishments.

US Visit Dinosaur Ridge where 16 interpretive signs, describing
fossil remains and other important features, have been placed along
a one-mile stretch that contains over 300 footprints of plant-eating
and carnivorous dinosaurs. See Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater where
huge red sandstone slabs rise hundreds of feet above you. These rock
formations provide excellent acoustics and a stunning frame
for Denver’s skyline. Celebrate the Old West’s most famous character,
Buffalo Bill Cody, atop Lookout Mountain. The museum contains antique
guns, costumes, posters and memorabilia from his Wild West Show. Learn
about "Women of the Wild West," and visit the gravesite, which offers
sweeping views of Denver and the plains.

- The Royal Gorge, one of America’s most spectacular attractions, is
home to the world’s highest suspension bridge, which spans the Arkansas
River at a height of 1,053 ft. Constructed in 1929
at a cost of
$350,000, this engineering marvel was accomplished in just six months
without a single fatality or major accident. The 5,000-acre park
surrounding the Royal Gorge provides numerous scenic overlooks. The Park
admission fee includes crossing the suspension bridge, riding the
world’s steepest incline railway to the bottom of the canyon and gliding
across the gorge on an aerial tramway. The park features an
entertainment gazebo, shops, restaurants, picnic areas and scenic
overlooks.

- Tour the gorgeous Rocky Mountains, one of the
most beautiful scenic tours you’ll ever take! Rocky Mountain National
Park is known for its spectacular high mountain beauty and wildlife.
Estes Park, founded in 1870, sits in the Park's valley. Tour the famous
Stanley Hotel, built in 1906 of wood and rock obtained from the nearby
mountains. Stephen King wrote much of The Shining
in room 217 and
recently returned to make the ABC mini-series based on the book.

- Enjoy a walking tour and oral history of
downtown Denver and lower downtown (LODO). Although we are not
encouraging individuals to skip a workshop, the walking tour is designed
for those of you whose information intake has reached maximum capacity
and who need an exercise break. This tour is not part of
Colorado Event Organizer's Tours. Reservations and payment for this tour
will be handled separately by the Conference Coordinators on
site.
